Our Ace Builders Family Holiday Club 2019

A summer holiday club for families to enjoy together
Tues 27th August to Fri 30th August (with a special Holiday Club Service on Sun 1st Sept)
@ Holy Trinity Church, Chorley Way, Spital, CH63 9LS

What is Holiday Club?

Holiday Club is a week in the summer holidays when an experienced team of youth and children’s workers provide fun, games and teaching for families in our local community at Holy Trinity Church.

Who is it for?

This year we want to share the fun of Holiday Club with the whole family! So Holiday Club will be for children AND the parent/guardian who is looking after them on that day. You’ll come along and sit around a table with other adults and children each day as you join in the fun of Holiday Club. At the end of each day there will also be a lunch provided for anyone who would like to stay for something to eat.

Please note: The day and activities (explained below) will be pitched at primary school children, but siblings who are younger and older are also allowed to attend.

When is it?

Tues 27th Aug: 9:30 to 12:00 (followed by an optional lunch together)
Wed 28th Aug: 9:30 to 12:00 (followed by an optional lunch together)
Thurs 29th Aug: 9:30 to 12:00 (followed by an optional lunch together)
Fri 30th Aug: 9:30 to 12:00 (followed by an optional lunch together)

Sun 1st Sept: 10:30 to 11:40 - Holiday Club Service
There will also be a bring-your-own picnic meal and games after the Holiday Club Service.

What’s a typical day like?

There will be daily fun and entertainment with our resident builders as they carry out tasks set by the Expert Builder. There will be games, fun songs, craft activities, refreshments, puppets and a look together at parts of the Bible. We’ll do a lot of those things all together, but there will be a time where the children can head off for some game time where the adults can have a brew and a cake. The whole thing will be very interactive but if you are one of the adults coming along, don’t worry—we don’t have plans to force you to join in with anything you don’t want to! We hope to provide a memorable and great time for all those who attend. We always work hard to use appropriate material — there will be lots of fun but we’ll be avoiding things that might scare anyone there. Do get in contact for a more detailed explanation of our plans if you have any questions.

What will it cost?

The church family at Holy Trinity have provided us with a budget from their own giving, so it won’t cost you a penny to come along. We’re providing the optional lunch every day (there will be a basket for anyone who particularly wants to make a donation towards the food cost, but you don’t have to do this in order to stay for the meal).

What should I do now?

Put the date in your diary and then book some places which will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
